The Help

I just finished a great book by Kathryn Stockett called The Help.  I loved it.  It's written from the viewpoint of three different characters:  two black maids and one white woman.  It is hard for me to believe that segregation was so widespread and all-encompassing a mere 50 years ago.  This book really opened my eyes to how far our country has come in the last half a century that we actually have a black president of our country and a woman as the Secretary of State.  I recommend this book to anyone who loves history, the South, and some drama.  Ms. Stockett accomplished a great success with this book.  Kudos to her!
